DAY 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara
An early morning drive from Nairobi by heading south to the Maasai Mara game reserve. The drive to the Maasai Mara safari takes about 5 hours. En route you get to enjoy the Rift Valley escarpment and farmlands. We arrive at the camp in time for lunch, rest and getting settled before an evening game drive in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. We are due to arrive at the camp. Later return to the camp for dinner and spend the night campsite with soothing voices of the wild.
We drive early morning after breakfast to cover more ground and view more animals. Early morning in the Maasai Mara you are guaranteed to view the big 5; elephants, lions, cheetahs, gazelles, wildebeests and almost 500 species of birds. There’s an optional of a hot air balloon to have an Ariel view of Maasai Mara Kenya in its splendid wholesomeness; animals, landscape, and the Mara River. Next is a visit to the Masai who maintain their primate culture free of civilization in the Masai village. These can be arranged for at an added cost. Then we head back to Maasai mara camp for meals and refreshments. Return for dinner and overnight stay at the camp.
After breakfast will check out from the lodge/camp and take a last drive in the Maasai Mara game reserve. We exit heading for Lake Nakuru National Park where we arrive for lunch and relaxation before taking an afternoon drive. At the lake their different species of birds like flamingos, these pink birds are the main attraction. Lake Nakuru National Park also hosts animals like golden cat, vervet monkeys, baboons, waterbuck the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe and the white rhinos.it has the largest euphorbia forest in Africa and the picturesque Makalia waterfalls. Back to lodge for dinner and overnight.
A drive to Lake Naivasha early morning after breakfast. After settling down in the lodge we head to Hell’s Gate National Park. The options here are endless walking or biking enjoying nature. Explore the Ol Njorowa Gorge, long and narrow about 24km with walls of rocks, hot springs it widens as you go and leads out of Hell’s Gate National Park. The Fischer’s tower and Hell’s Gate National Park pride rock are perfect for rock climbing. After lunch a boat ride to the lake for bird watching and visiting the crescent island. We later return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at one of park’s campsites.
Following breakfast at Hell’s Gate National Park Kenya there are options of busking in the sun, nature walk or enjoying a heated pool fed by natural hot springs. We conclude our 5-day tour by driving back to Nairobi.
